    Well, we're in agreement about the "something odd." Since I've not seen anyone else's backup log, I assumed that backup was a two-stage process. Your TM volume should be excluded (and grayed out, I think).

    Also, look at system preferences>time machine>options and see what is excluded. I would try to delete the preference file () and then restart your computer.

    The second Macintosh HD backup differs from the first. In your case, TM is backing up +"Bay 3"+ and +"Bay 2"+ and Macintosh HD twice.
